SBN is almost entirely user supported. SBN alerts are sent directly by registered users and Dispatcher's.

The difference with Dispatcher's is that they are formally recognized for the commitment to sending accurate alerts on a reliable basis. No special equipment is required, but TeamSpeak is recommended so that you may stream the event to our server.

TalkGroup Leader's moderate the user TalkGroups (forums.) Their job is to facilitate the free exchange of accurate information, watch for commercial advertising that is not permitted, and to encourage participation.
